General information

The protection of your personal data is very important to us. In this privacy policy, we inform you about the processing of personal data when using our SPORTIVENT app (“app”) and the associated website.

Use of the app

The app processes your entries and favorites exclusively locally on your device. This data is not transferred to our server or to third parties. If you write an email using the contact link stored in the app, your default email application will open. We do not collect any additional data ourselves—communication takes place exclusively via your email application.

Use of the website

Server-Logfiles
When you visit our website, technical information (e.g., IP address, date and time of access, file accessed, browser type, and operating system) is automatically transmitted to our server and processed in so-called log files. This serves to provide a functional website and to ensure IT security. Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest). These log files are not stored permanently.

Vercel Inc. (Hosting)
Our website is hosted on the platform of Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. Vercel provides the technical infrastructure and processes technical data such as IP address, browser information, operating system, pages accessed, and time of access. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in the secure and reliable provision of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Vercel may also transfer data to third countries, in particular the USA. The transfer is based on EU standard contractual clauses and other appropriate safeguards. Further information can be found in Vercel's privacy policy.

Google Search Console
We use Google Search Console from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, for technical analysis and optimization of our website. This tool provides us with aggregated and anonymized information only, such as search queries, click counts, and indexing errors. We do not receive any personal data about individual users. The use is based on our legitimate interest in a technically optimized website (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR). For more information, please refer to Google's privacy policy.

Supabase (Backend Database)
We use Supabase, a backend database system by Supabase Inc., 9701 Aino Drive, Honolulu, HI 96821, USA, to provide event data, categories, and other content. When data is retrieved (e.g., event listings, detail pages), your IP address and technical information (browser type, operating system, page accessed) are transmitted to Supabase. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in providing a functional website (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR). Supabase may transfer data to third countries, in particular the USA. The transfer is based on EU standard contractual clauses. For more information, please refer to Supabase's privacy policy.

Mapbox (Map Display)
On event detail pages, we use the map service Mapbox by Mapbox Inc., 740 15th Street NW, 5th Floor, Washington, DC 20005, USA, to display the geographical location of events. When you visit a page with a map, your IP address is transmitted to Mapbox and map tiles are loaded from Mapbox servers. The use is based on our legitimate interest in an appealing presentation of event locations (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR). Mapbox may transfer data to the USA; the basis is EU standard contractual clauses. For more information, please refer to Mapbox's privacy policy.

Unsplash (Images)
For visual representations of categories and states, we use images from Unsplash by Unsplash Inc., 221B Victoria Street, Toronto, Ontario M5B 1T4, Canada. When you access a corresponding page, your browser loads the images directly from Unsplash servers, transmitting your IP address to Unsplash. The use is based on our legitimate interest in an appealing visual design (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR). For more information, please refer to Unsplash's privacy policy.

If you contact us by email, we will process the data you provide (e.g., email address, name, message content, date, and time) in order to process your request. The basis for this is our legitimate interest in processing requests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for communication, but after two years at the latest.
